4. Payments and ecommerce
Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. We generally receive transaction confirmation and limited payment metadata rather than full payment-card numbers. Payment providers process information under their own privacy notices and security requirements.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies for essential cart, session, account, preference, and security functions. Optional analytics or marketing technologies may be used only when enabled and subject to applicable choices. See our Cookie Policy for categories, examples, durations, and controls.
6. Data retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected and for legitimate business, fraud-prevention, tax, accounting, dispute, and legal requirements. We securely delete, anonymize, or restrict information when it is no longer needed.
7. Security and New York protections
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information and the size of our operations. No online service can guarantee absolute security. New York’s SHIELD Act requires reasonable safeguards for covered private information and notice when applicable security incidents occur. If you believe your account or information has been compromised, contact us promptly through the Contact page.

If Food & Mood is subject to the California Consumer Privacy Act for a particular request, California residents may have rights to know, correct, delete, obtain information about categories and sources, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, and receive equal service without unlawful discrimination. We may verify a request using information reasonably necessary to protect the customer and may deny or limit a request where an exception applies.

This site is a general-audience service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Smoke Shop and tobacco products are restricted to customers who satisfy applicable age requirements; access to those products does not make the overall site child-directed.
10. Third-party sites and services
Links to payment providers, delivery partners, social networks, or other external services are governed by those parties’ own terms and privacy notices. We are not responsible for their independent practices.
11. Changes to this policy
